Verizon Coverage USVI

Can anyone comment on Verizon cellphone coverage on St. John in the US
Virgin Islands?

Last time I went my Cingular phone got very fine service but I'm
pretty sure my Verizon phone was roaming. The time before that I
had a Sprint phone which got native service, so that may be who Verizon
roams with. You can try zip code 00830 in the coverage maps to
check.

The Verizon web site lists the USVI as "international" roaming, at
a rate of $0.69/minute.

for my visit.
