I am going to open an email account with another ISP until I figure out what is
going on with my email.
How does Verizon Web Mail rate?
Opinions from anyone with experience with it will be appreciated.

I agree. It will also give you the flexibility to change ISP's at will
without having to change your email address.
I've been using Gmail for years now, and have been happy as can be.[1]
Erik
[1] But must admit I IMAP my Gmail through Apple's 'Mail' client... but
do use the web interface occasionally when visiting friends and whatnot.
I know many people who use the web interface exclusively, and like it as
well.

Sure, in a web browser.
you can access gmail for free via IMAP and POP so any client that offers
that under Linux will work, I use mutt+imap and it works very well.

cssutto at gmail dot com sounds good. You can use Google's email from
anywhere and there's so much redundancy on such a vast network it never
even slows down, no matter how you call it.

This is the wireless phone group, not the ISP group.
You should pose your question here: alt.online-service.verizon

Long time since I've seen you, Claude. Hope this all finds your business
well as well as your family....
Glad you got it straightened out.....(c;]
Whoa! Belay that! I just went to your webpage and see that you've
retired! Me, too. Once in a while I fall off the wagon and take on a
little job for some old customers, but not often. Hope you're enjoying
your retirement, I know I am....

Actually I only retired the 1st of July and have been totally imersed in closing
things down, closing the office, finding places to put all of those records you
must keep, like tax records, etc.
Getting my employees good jobs instead of dumping them, etc.
Actually this next week will be the first week I am totally free.
Thanks for the good wishes.

ADDENDUM:
Google Groups does not carry the alt.online-service.verizon
newsgroup.
At least I can't find it.
