Default Verizon Wireless Customer Service call

I want to report that I had occasion to call Verizon Wireless customer
service today and I'm very happy with the service that I received. I called
*611 in the middle of the day and only had a very short wait to get through.
Once I did get through to a real human being I have to say that he was
knowledgeable, sympathetic, and helpful. Took very little time to work
through my problem and left me a happy customer!

Just felt that I should report that there are good customer service reps out
there.

Gary

You might write to the Customer Service Manager and say so. If you got
the customer service rep's name, you might mention that too. They
probably get 100 complaints for each kind word they hear!

Most people don't say anything if they are happy with the service.

I have been with VZW since 1995 with an old 3 Watt bag phone (then Bell
Atlantic Mobile). During all these years I have had one CSR who was
completely obnoxious and unhelpful. After a half hour of arguing, I hung
up, got another one and had the issue resolved.

I've been on this board for many years and I can tell you that the
majority of negative posters bring the problems on themselves with
their attitude.

Exactly, especially the one poster with the permanent black cloud over
his head.

I mentioned this before but I had an issue and went into the VZW store.
I was going on a trip the next morning. The person before me was giving
the CS person a really hard time ranting about how rotten the company
was etc. She was polite but he got the bare minimum of what she could
do. It was my turn and I politely described what I needed. She said
"there is a fee for that". I smiled and she did her thing and handed me
a phone and the 2 ft long receipt reported the charge was $0.00 . She
said "I waived the charge..."

Sounds like a good idea! I did participate in the survey after the call but
a letter wouldn't hurt, I'm sure!

I've been a customer of VZN or her predecessors since the late 80's. At one
time the CS troops were very good but back then management let the CS troops
do the job they were being paid to do.

VZN management is well into gotch capitalism and there are ample
examples/post to reflect that to the point were I recorded all my
conversations with VZN. In retrospect that was a wise move. YMMV

Christ, for that much money they should have sent you a personal
representative in a business suit to personally fix your phone problem
at your house who invited you out for steak dinner at the finest
steakhouse in town in his nice company car, not some hack on the phone
reading scripts and suggestions.

50c/month and 4c/min gets you the same kind of customer service you got
on PagePlus for a LOT less money!

Hi all,
I decided to post because I found a webstite
www.hotlinefinder.com
which can prove quite useful to those in the USA and Canada who try
desperately to find their mobile operator (or ISP/broadband internet
provider) customer care telephone number in order to talk to a
representative and have a proper discussion.
The site seems quite new and I guess that it will be adding an
increasing number of hotline numbers in the telecom sector in the
coming weeks.
So if you do agree with the website claims ''Sometimes only a phonecall
will do!'' run there to finally succeed reaching your customer support.
Hope this post will prove handy!
Kiss to all
Jessica
