voicemail passwords

My wife forgot her voicemail password,
and we reset it from the phone.
The phone dialog required 6 to 10 numbers....

But our son's VZ phone is only 4 numbers ?
Is there another way to reset it to just 4 numbers ?

The old 4 digit passwords are probably grandfathered.

I know on my ISP I had to change my password from a 6 digit password
to a 8 digit one because of new rules. But if I hadn't made changes on
my account, I probably could have kept the 6 digit one.

So I'm assuming the same thing with voice mail passwords.

However, call customer service and see if you can get a 4 digit one
back. Maybe they can do it for you?

you are able to reset it using my account online, or through customer
service. Also the 4 digit password is the min. you can put in. 4-8
digit password or the options for you when you change it after the
temp is reset to

Mine was 4 characters, but when I made a change had to redo it, due to
security wanting a longer pssword, and now it wants more digits), i just
used the old one twice (ie was something like 1717 now i just use 17171717
