VX8500 Data connection and software

Who can help me with this...

The VX8500 in Holland / europe called KG800 has nice software that alows
putting ring tones on your phone.

I have that software...connect my chocolate to the USB/charger cable....but
it doesn't find the phone...right comm port and so....but it gives a time
out.

Who can help ans i will share the LG software with you
