Why doesn't somebody make a small cell phone that will fit in my
pocket and not make people ask "is that a cell phone in your pocket or
are you happy to see me?" I don't care about a camera, or MP3 player,
I
just want a small phone. And I don't like wearing one on my belt
either. While you are at it, improve the sound quality.
Anybody know who has the smallest cell phone available to Verizon
customers?

They used to sell the LG Migo, but it has been discontinued.
It was a very small phone that didn't have a normal keypad. It was
meant for parents to give the phone to their kids and have a couple of
speed dial numbers plus the ability to call 911.
Other than that, the Motorola W315 is a nice low frills phone.

The RAZR is slim enough to be invisible in my pocket, even though it's actually
a bit larger overall in volume than the Samsung it replaced.
The VX8600 is thin and small. Personally, I think if they're any smaller, I
won't be able to hold one in my large manly hand

There is a Pantech that may fit your needs.

The Pantech model is sold as the Nokia 6315i. I have it. It's pretty
small as phones go, and actually of decent quality all around!
There isn't much room to make them smaller:
1) The boards are as small as practical given the circuitry that
needs to go on them
2) Most of the volume (more than half these days) is battery. You
need that standby time!
3) The screen and keyboard aren't usable if they get much smaller.
Touchscreens suck :-)
