Default Alter keyboard mapping?

I know that I've seen software that will let you reprogram the keys on your
keyboard, including the media keys, etc...

There was a really great program that I tried out, but didn't work with my
keyboard going through a PS/2 converter... But I can't recall what it was
called. I even emailed back and forth with the author while testing the
software.

I'll be damned if I can find any of the messages we sent back and forth, or
a copy of the program.

I've done Google, as well as several download sites, but can't find anything
that is actually any good. Can anyone suggest some good keyboard map
customizing programs?

As usual... You never find anything until you ask someone else.

The program I was looking for was UberOptions. Alas, it's a Logitech only
program, so won't help with my MS keyboard.

i haven't tested, but am not aware of such issues. I don't see why it
should make a difference

zdkeyremap was a good one, but i think it doesn't work for XP or NT or
something.

try keytweak
i'm using it on a laptop running win xp.
it's not pretty but it works. And I am not remapping keys continuously
so it's fine. I just set the remapping once.

You might do better if you specified the OS and hardware specs.

: )

Ya... Guess it would! Doh!

Win XP Pro SP2, Microsoft Natural Ergo 4000 keyboard via USB.

Software I was looking for ended up being specifically for Logitech
hardware. It was called UberOptions. Would really like to find something
similar for the Microsoft hardware.

Why did you have to run your keyboard through a ps/2 converter?
