Default asus a8n-vm mobo question

Hi,
Does the asus a8n-vm mobo have both sata and ide HD hookups?

I would be using 1 sata and 2 ide HDs. The asus spec sheet only mentions
sata.

THanks

Thats fine.

http://www.asus.com.au/products.aspx...68&modelmenu=2
shows 2 x UltraDMA 133/100/66/33 in the Storage/RAID section.

The manual which you can download has more detail.

The ASUS A8N-VM has two IDE channels (4 devices = 1 optical drive and 3
HD) and 2 SATA II for a regular VM. Its the same for a A8N-VM CSM
except for 4 SATA II ports.

I have built numerous A8N-VM CSMs and use several around the house. Its
a good stable platform.

I have no experience with A8N-VM, but do have a Gigabyte with the same
chipset as the A8N-VM and have had no trouble with it. Its very heavily
used as a HTPC and runs 24X7.

For better information, here's the link to the latest owner's manual.
