If you use Everest or something similar, is the new card's enumeration info
showing up ?
If you have a spare disk, you could do a clean install on there, install
the ATI driver, and test the card that way. If it all works, then you'd know
it is a software or a registry issue. Using a spare disk would avoid wiping
your current one, for a quick test.
