Default Belkin KVM Firmware

Has anyone any experience with flashing the firmware on a Belkin
OmniView KVM from a Windows 2000 system? I've installed the Win2K patch,
connected it up, run the flash utility...and it's buggered. Dead as a
Python parrot.

Try the update again. After that, call up Belkin. If it's under
warranty, and you used the proper tools, they may replace the unit for
you. At least, both Dell and HP have done so for failed flashes on
their computers. You won't know unless you call.

I've tried it many times. At one point it actually seemed to be doing
it, but then the Transmit Error came up again.

Unit is four year old, so no warranty :( I've emailed Belkin; if I speak
to them nicely they might send me a new EEPROM...

They might swap it anyway. I've just had a new 7330 from them to replace
a 2-plus year old old "unsupported" model of the same with duff firmware
- not that the new firmware looks much better than the old...... But
they do get a brownie point for trying.

I have flashed the Belkin F1DS102U Omniview SOHO 2-Port USB&VGA KVM
from WinXP...
and same here: killed the device.
The status light keeps flashing and the buttons don't work. Even
flashing bakc to the "original" firmware doesn't help.
