Default Burner Error

I have tried to burn various cd's with Nero 6.3..., on a Dell Inspiron 4000,
1 gig cpu, 512 megs ram, and XP Pro with SP2. I get the error message:
"Can't write to end track." Do I have a bad CDRW or a software problem?

Thank you

you wont know until you,

1. try another disc
2. upgrade the firmware and try the same disc.

I suppose it could be either. As a nearly tangential remark, I would
recommend upgrading to Nero 6.6.0.8 if your license permits it. It's
one of the more stable/featured versions in the neighborhood of 6.3.

Try a known good burner and see what happens.
