Default Can I mix drives? SATA and PATA?

I currently have 2 pata drives, can I add a sata ?

Do you have a mobo with SATA connectors???

yes if you have sata port(s), mixing is not a problem. You
might then need to readjust the motherboard bios so the
intended drive is the one the system boots to.

This would seem to be a per-mainboard issue, lots of boards
are not hard to adjust to get the right drive to boot.
Sometimes they just don't describe the bios settings very
well and it takes a bit of fiddling and guessing what a
short few words description was meant to adjust.
