Default computer location

This may be a software problem, I don't know. I purchased my computer
in the Uk and then moved to the USA. But my web browser still thinks
the computer is located in the UK. ( I use both IE and Moxilla Firefox,
the latter more often) so that when I go on google to look up a company
etc. it first lists all the Uk companies which is a nuisance.

How do I tell the computer it is now a red-blooded American? I have
looked under options in both browsers without success; also have
checked the registry ( maybe not properly but I'm afraid of altering it
without directions)and 'properties' at 'my computer'.

Many Thanks

Fish

Change Time Zone settings under Regional Options in Control Panel
