Instead of having Windows search for it, choose "Install the hardware
that I manually select from a list" option. Once you select the
Hardware Type, there will be a "Have Disk" button that you can use to
point to your new driver. It may not work, it may screw up your machine
worse, but at least you'll be able to make your intention clear. |
