Default Ebay computer sale adventure

I sold a lap top on ebay and they paid with paypal. they left positive
feedback. couple days later get email from paypal that says lap top is not
as described and paypal refunded his money which put my account with a
negative balance so the buyer returns the pc and when i try to boot it up
the bios is password protected. Ok, so then what I do next is I reset the
bios and then when it tried to boot the hard drive was password protected
and I NEVER used passwords so why is it that a perfectly good lap top i
shipped comes back in this condition, and as you know cracking a password on
a hard drive is pretty near impossible. Last resort, I email the crook and
say either give me the password or $100 for a new one. the buttwad actually
gave me the password. once i booted it went straight to repair your computer
screen so then what I do is i pick system restore and it shows you all the
restore points. What he had been doing was installing and uninstalling
software and ****ed it up then passworded the hdd to cover his tracks so
anyways i appeal to paypal and send them faxes of screenshots on the
computer he claims was broken but some of the restore points have dates that
prove that the computer actually did work until he ****ed it up so then what
i do is i send to paypal even the emails he sent giving me the password and
they still sided with him so now they are calling everyday trying to get the
funds they gave him back because i was smart enough to of emptied my paypal
account before they gave this jerk a refund and closed the bank account and
i want to tell you that while i have since repaired the pc and sold it to
someone honest but I will be damned if i will give paypal jackshit, it's
the principal, i was upfront about everything and i still get screwed.

Stick to your guns and don't give a ****ing inch... You have rights and
you must enforce your rights. Just tell PayPal to read the constitution.

Yes, heard this story before.

And at this point, I think the fun has only begun.

They still have options to "get even" with you.
You may think you've escaped, but I wouldn't be
so sure about that.

You should talk to your bank, about all of the
options they have to ruin you. You'd be surprised
how little protection you have. And the sooner you
talk to someone at the bank, the better. You wouldn't
want the fallout, to affect your credit rating.

Alors vous pouvez penser ce que vous avez fait est justifié par votre colère
face à Paypal, vous êtes coupable de vol vous-même, que vous avez vendu le
même article deux fois et a gardé l'argent des deux ventes.

The best answer is none. Or' nun', if you're that way inclined.

Basically, he committed fraud. He screwed up the computer. It was all on
him.
