Default hardware news

Hi there, I've been working abroad for some years and I would like to
catch up with the new hardware technologies in PC's hardware again,
there is a lot of hardware lingo now that I don't understand and with
all the new mother board sockets and new processor technologies it
puzzles me a lot, so is there a website or something that show me the
new technologies in hardware in chronological format so I can search
for the technologies I missed, I searched the web for sometime but it
seems like I can't find this somewhere everyone is talking in today's
language and I am left behind, thank you in advance.

Digging around "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia"
would help ...here's a link to the Oh so fashionable C 2 D info.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_2_Duo
This sort of group is probably best for specific questions & points.
The more specific the better the response.
