Default Label on AMI BIOS Part

The label on the BIOS Flash Part on my Shuttle MV43 says "686 AMBIOS
c1999 BY04 4776"

Anyone know what version BIOS that means this is?

I don't think that is any indication. When your system
POSTs, write down the BIOS ID string displayed. You may
need to press key to have enough time, and/or
disable a logo screen to see that ID string. It may contain
the actual version string within it, or at least allow a
Google search or at worse, looking at some bios with hex
editor to see which strings are contained therein (but it's
rare to have to do this latter method).
