Default laptop LCD -- too blue

i just got a lenovo laptop and I'm finding the lcd screen to be too
blue. I guess it's the color temperature/white balance of the monitor
itself as opposed to a color profile. Is there any way I can adjust
this? Thanks.

Look in the Display Settings for your video adapter.

i did and i tried adjusting the rgb values. It changes the colors but
the monitor still has an overall blue cast to it. Why can't you have a
color temperature control for laptop lcd's when you have one with
regular lcd's?

then adjust further to correct this.

laptops are lit by a ccfl tube, and you cant change the colour it emits
on the fly. But you can use a colour profile in win to change the
appearance. Try the lowest colour temp, or maybe a custom profile.

When you say blue cast,
what colour does black come out?
mid grey?
white?
