Default new mobo and hd

I have a new motherboard and freshly formatted HD. I also have Windows 2000
restore discs. I dont really know where to start, when I tried to boot the
computer nothing happened, the fans worked but I could not get into the
bios to start. I'm wondering where to go for info.

You saying that nothing happens except
the fans when you hit the power switch ?

Check you have the 12V square 2x2 connector connected.

Check that the cmos reset jumper isnt in the reset position.
