Default Old touch screen monitor

Hello,
I have a 12" touch screen monitor that has no sign about the brand, i only
find a model number "PD-40" , and searching with google i cannot find
information about it. It only seems that the brand name should be Sampo but
their website is no more available. It has the standard vga connector and a
9-pin serial port, I tried connecting it to my pc but the touch function
doesn't work, and no new hardware is found when I connect the serial cable.
So I tried searching a driver with no luck (also tried on driversguide.com )
, I tried installing one by "Elo system" but it doesn't work.
How Could I do?
Thank you.

You could try to install the driver manually, search by product name-
brand maker-or by rebrander.

i would say the driver is the problem. A TIP: I have found some of
old drivers for old devices on some older System OS CDs !

Have you ever used "www.archive.org" ? That site archives old web sites.
If you have the URL for the sampo site when it was working, you can
try and access an archived snapshot of the web site and look for the
driver there.

Some older touchscreens emulate a serial mouse. Try adding a serial
port mouse driver. Serial ports are not PlugNplay, so no autodetection
meaning you will have to manually add a driver.

I finally found the right driver, it's the "3m TouchWare 5.64" that
recognizes the touch device on the serial port and enables it.
Thank you all for the support!
