My computer overheated yesterday and now my 2.2 Barton is a 1.1 Athlon.
How do I get it back to what it was or have I toasted it?
I have an earlier restore point but can't see that being of use.
I may have damaged it when cleaning it too as I was none too careful
how I went about it. I may have given it some static. I have no idea.
One more thing before I realised how dirty it was, I was messing in the
BIOS thinking it was a settings problem in there. Now the computer will
not restart automatically and the above chip problem seem to be the
worst of it.
I have not noticed anything else.

Are you saying you have a 3200 Barton (actual speed 2.2 gig) ?
If nothing is damaged you probably just have the FSB set wrong.
It should be FSB 200 for the chip.
