Pci problems

I have a FIC AZ11 with an agp 2x card, and a pci ethernet card. It boots
fine and everything, and the 'net card works fine. I want to put a new
sound card in (as another pci card). If I try to boot with both the
ethernet & the sound cards, it does not boot at all. It never gets to even
the video bios screen; it's dead.

Why can't I have both in at the same time?

Most likely the ESCD got reset.

Actually, I deduced the problem.

I almost posted back here when _nothing_ worked, when I replaced the video
card. I have to do many reboots, at different times, with a whole bunch of
other variables, for it to work. Then, I have to add one by one (vid, eth,
snd).
