Default problems with dvd burner

i have a nec 3520 DVD burner running in external usb2 case with xpsp2
laptop
recently it stopped burning dvd and only burns cd
attached is a log of failed burning
any ideas would be most appreciated

Replace it, decent dual layer DVD burners are now so cheap that its
not worth doing anything other than replacing them when they fail.
