RAM size

Can the different sizes of RAM at each slot ok?

First slot 1Gb DDR and at 2nd 512 DDR and at 3rd 256 DDR, will that
effect the RAM?

As some one was giving me example of a 3 wheel car with every tire of
different size! ;) :paranoid:

is it true?

And the name of the motherboard, does that matter ?

You may lose the ability to do dual channel, if your motherboard
supports it. This might be a performance issue, but otherwise you'll
be fine.

This is why the other Paul inquired about what your motherboard make
and model are.
