Default RAM size - 2nd opinion please

Hi All,

I've just built a pc with 1 RAM stick, nominally 1
gigabyte.

Evry measure of the RAM size, by every sort of utility,
including memtest, shows a size of 960 M.

It seems to me I should be seeing the advertised 1024 M.

I just wanted to ask for other peoples' opinions before
I front up to the vendor - what do you think?

thanks,

Greg

It's normal. Your onboard video card is using 64MB of your RAM.

doh!

Yes, that's probably the reason - memtest shows no
errors 15 hrs on, so it's probably ok

many thanks for saving me the embarrassment!
