Default Replacing HP Printheads

Anybody had personal experience of using instructions for reviving HP14
printheads commonly offered on ebay by US advertisers? Due I suspect to
lack of use for several months, a HP 7130 Multifunction printer given us
by our daughter is showing that cyan, black and magenta printheads need
replacing but I feel that this would not prove economic.

Some heads are revived by soaking in a warmed alcohol or
ammonia detergent solution, then print these colors while
it's still wet (but dry the electrical contact area). I have
no idea if it will help on that printer as I know nothing
about it.
