Used to have a really good Logitech, very chunky and top buttons needed a
firm press to use but it broke.
Got another Logitech wireless mouse (can't recall the model) buttons were
lighter but not too bad but had too many problems with the wireless side.
So now bought a Logitech MX 400 but finding the keys just too light and
trying to keep my fingers hovering above them is giving me arm ache
problems.
I am looking for something where the keys need the firmer press and one with
a god ergonomic shape, as Logitech always have - any suggestions?

I see they are still for sale but never tried this type of mouse. May see if
anyone I know has one. Shops used to set mouses out so you could try them
but all now in sealed packs. I guess the kids who took the balls out and
kicked around the floor spoiled it.

Maybe it is, but IMO the two aren't really direct
replacements for each other unless you aren't caring much
about precision. It's not that a marble can't be precise,
it's that the degree of accuracy in movement of a single
digit to spin it is lower than using entire hand to move a
mouse... so at the very least it takes some training to get
equivalent proficiency.

Yes that's why I am going to try and find someone who has one so I can give
it a try. But so far no one I know has one!!!!

It depends what you want. If you want wireless, then the Logitech G5
system is pretty good for gaming. If you want a ergonomic mouse, then
you should try microsoft mice. Their more expensive optical mice are
nice. Also, If you want a big ergonomic gaming mouse, try RCA mice
(the more expensive ones). RCA mice are quite big.
