Are they out there? I suspect each peripheral company owns
their design or has exclusivity agreements and it can't be
reused. You might search a few business to business
directory websites like here, (or google for others)

If you didn't need many shells I'd suggest just buying the
cheapest finished drive you can find - it's not as though
many manufacturers are going to want to talk to you if you
only wanted to buy 100 pieces at a few dozen cents each.
