Default Verizon Mi-Fi + Wireless Printer

Here's a scenario for consideration:

A laptop and desktop wirelessly connect to a Verizon hotspot. If gives
both machines internet access, but it a poor solution for file transfers
between the two machines, as that transfer comes out of the usage on the
Verizon account. Add a wireless printer to the mix. It can be
connected to the hotspot, but that's not a good solution for the
aforementioned usage hit.

How can the wireless printer be made available to at least one of those
machines without a wire, and without consuming precious Verizon usage?
