Default What About AGP?

Will a card that requires 8x AGP work in an AGP slot? Is the upgrade a
matter of software or hardware?

The difference is in the hardware. How old is the board? Chances are if it
is any type of recent, the AGP is 8x. The 8x simply states what the
bandwidth available to the card is.

should do, if it works.

hardware, plus driver software. Older versions of win dont recognise
agp cards, so need the mfr's driver.to get it going in all its glory.
