Default Wireless Keyboards & Mice Work With KVM's?

My experience so far is that they do not. At least not with mine. Is
that so?

Thanx

I'm using a Logitech Cordless EX110 keyboard/mouse combo with a Belkin
PS/2-Audio KVM, and it works fine.

Hmmm. I have a IOGEAR 4 PORT KVMP. I have experienced this same
problem with two Logitech keyboards and one Logitech mouse, all of
which work fine when using their receivers connected directly to each
machine's USB, but not with my KVM. So I figured that was the
nature of things. I guess I need to play around some more to see what
I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Big Fred

I use a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse combo with a Belkin KVM, but the
wireless receiver is plugged in with the PS2 connectors. My KVM isn't USB, but I
would imagine that the problem could be that the receiver(s) you tried need more
power than the KVM can deliver or a driver is needed for the receiver to
function.

Interesting - I just got back to playing with this. I have found
that the wireless keyboard works just fine when I plug the its
receiver's USB into a rear input on the KVM. Won't work using the
KVM's front USB. That's a little odd because the wired keyboard being
replaced will work with its USB plugged into the KVM's front or rear.

Oh well, I can work with the wireless keyboard connecting with the
rear USB on the KVM. No difference to me, really.

Thanks for your interests you two.

BTW

How long can I expect the two new AAA batteries I put in the keyboard
to last? Any idea?

Thanks
