Default Wireless Video?

I need to mount a projector in my living room and don't have access to run
all of the wires from my PC to the projector. I can however get power to it
froma different source. Is there a wireless video and wireless USB option?
I need some decent resolution and want the USB so that I can still control
the projector options. IDEAS?

I've googled several option including the Linksys WPG54G and one called the
WiJet-G but none of them seem cabable of streaming video, since I already
have a projector I don't want to try one of those. Wireless projectors or
whatever they are called.
IDEAS?

Apologies. Wrong Rod.

Try alt.internet.wireless as they usually respond pretty well.

Some of the media centers can do wireless,
so you could put one of those at the projector.

What video connection does the projector have ?
If its something basic like baseband video, any of
the wireless links intended for TVs etc will work fine.

This does the wireless video. It uses scan conversion, so the
"1600x1200" resolution will not be crystal clear when it
reaches the destination. There has to be a bandwidth limit
of some kind, which is not stated. If you are expecting to
be able to view and read spread sheets from the projector,
forget it. The output should be 640x480 quality.
For video, it should be OK. The input at the transmitter
is VGA, and the output is composite 75 ohms for a TV
set.

http://www.grandtec.com/Downloads/gwb_manual.pdf

This previous version is an actual wireless VGA. VGA input
and VGA output. Works at up to 1024x768 at 60Hz.
5GHz OFDM, whatever that is. And pretty expensive.
No longer being sold (likely due to the price).

This could well be the same thing:

http://sewelldirect.com/Wireless-VGA-Extender.asp

I see a comment about the WiJet-G here:
http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/WiJet-G.htm

" *The WiJET.G is designed for data presentation applications
such as PowerPoint. Its ability to support full-motion video,
such as DVD playback, is limited. "

Expensive toys, and plenty of questions to ask.

Placing a small computer next to the projector, and
carrying the playback data wirelessly (file sharing)
seems a lot easier. A video signal is a lot of bandwidth
to be moving with wireless, which is why it is expensive.

Here is another very recent development. It uses UWB
(ultrawideband). As far as I know, UWB will be used for
the new wireless USB standard. This development is hot
off the presses. I also think some of the comments in
the comment section of this article are "bang on". A
device like this is likely to degrade wireless spectrum
for other applications, and I would want to see proof
it does not interfere with other wireless things first.

So at least people are still working on the concept.
