Default AVG updates & reboot.

It seems that I have to reboot the computer almost each day after AVG
has done an update. The 'update manager' is the module that requires you
to restart the computer.

Am I the only one who gets this or could there be a reason for this?

Thanks

I found this advice, I'll see whether I get asked to reboot again
tomorrow after the next update:

<snip>
i know how to fix this!! i had this problem too. open avg, and at the
bottom left, click on "settings". then select the "advanced" tab, and
delete temporary files. once that is done, youll notice the icon wont be
grey anymore, and will be back to its awesomeness of colour!! wooh! i
hope ive helped!! :D
<snip>

The action the machine takes after an update is selectable - you can
choose from 'Close and reboot now', 'Offer to reboot now' or 'Update
at next reboot'.
Look in the Properties section of the update manager window.

I'm not having that problem but thought I'd look at what you were saying, and I
don't find the "settings" button. I am assuming that when you say "open avg" you
mean "launch control center" - or do you mean something else?
