internet privacy and vpn hardware

I've been searching on google checking out privacy services but they all
seem the same in that they only cater for a connection directly from a pc,
that is after you've installed their client program. Does anyone know of a
privacy provider that can accept connections directly from vpn hardware?
(like a vpn router or something)

I would think any that supported the protocol would work. I use dd-
wrt and OpenVPN with Cotse, I assume the setup would work with other
OpenVPN services as well.

when it comes to connecting vpn hardware every privacy provider I've found
only supports pptp. Do you know of a provider that will accep other
protocols?
My (cisco) router only does ipsec as a vpn client and I haven't found any
privacy service that can cater for that. I'm given to understand there are
several routers that can do the pptp client thing but I'm still very much in
the dark at the mo and I don't want to waste money on incorrect hardware.
