Hello G. Morgan. alt.comp.anti-virus isn't a group I normally visit
but when looked in there I saw Mr Bottoms was so busy flooding it
with his special brand of wisdom that other posters were hardly
getting a chance to say anything. Almost half the recent messages
in alt.comp.anti-virus are from Mr Bottoms.

I recall Mr Bottoms got chased out of a couple of the security groups
back in Summer 2006 before he ended up hiding out in A.C.F. Maybe he's
decided to re-visit them.

Mr. Buttoms meanderings appear to have come from a bar-room exchange
between wishful thinkers, none of whom knows a single thing about
systems security.

Buttoms fancied himself smarter than one of the world's most
recognized authorities on the subject of cryptography and
cryptanalysis.

It was actually almost too pathetic for words....

Our companion Mr Buttoms may be a seemingly personable soul but we
must take care not to let this obscure the fact that he is far too
dense to realize he has long ago been out of his depth in this
exchange.

No need to take on argument; Mr Buttoms lacks the basic personal
equipment needed to comprehend these concepts.

In other words, he has no brains.

He's messing with the wrong group of people. These guys have
skills, and if he makes the wrong guy angry he will be posting from
another computer wondering what went wrong.

I think Bottoms is smarter than he and his wife make out their shared
nym ("Bear Bottoms") to be.

I'm not suggesting either of them possess a particularly brilliant
mind but sometimes they post with feigned stupidity. (Presumably at
other times the stupidity comes naturally.)
