It seems that everyone else has gone off on a rampage and have missed
the original question completely. As for Counterspy, I used to use it
and felt it was a very good program. I feel it has gone downhill in
the last year and even though my license is still good until October, I
have uninstalled it due to its instability of late. As another has
mentioned, Superantispyware is a very good replacement with possibly
even better detection rates and less false positives. As for other
programs such as 'Spyware Eliminator,' most are rogue applications
(considering Aluria's relationship with WhenU) and should be avoided.
The free version of AVG Antispyware (formerly Ewido) is another choice,
but I have found Superantispyware is better.
