Default Safe Calculator 5.10

On your USB drive or your laptop, do not leave your confidential
information accessible.

This calculator, clone fully operational, is a very discreet safe utility
allowing you to move your IDs, passwords. After entering your PIN, it will
encrypt and "swallows" the file you have chosen.

Mr Bottoms,

These recent meanderings of yours appear to have come from a bar-room
exchange between wishful thinkers, none of whom knows a single thing
about systems security.

If you can't get through reading a few chapters in a book like
Pfleeger then surely there must be some simpler but rigorous tutorial
on security somewhere on the Net.

How about something like Oreilly's "Computer Security Basics"?

Or even "Computer Security for Dummies"?

Or maybe Hasbro has some educational toy on computer security?

Sure, if you only intend to keep your kids outta yer stuff. This is the
digital equivalent of a trunk with a false bottom.

Furthermore, the software is back-doored: see the mention in the
documentation as well as on the author's web page:

7) SUPPORT
----------
- In case of malfunction, or missing files errors, go to Support page on
the web site.

- Forget your secret code ? contact me.

I'd wager your secret code is stored in the 'encrypted' file -- if that were
not the case, how could he recover it?

No 'security consultant' worth his salt would recommend something this lame.

Carlos
