Default Travelling OS - best PC protection?

I am going to be travelling OS and will be (a) using internet cafes and
(b) taking my netbook. Netbook is Win7 Starter but will be dual boot
with Linux real soon now. :-)

I am concerned about using sites that require a log in due to potential
security issues (keyloggers, firesheep). Is there a way to minimise the
risk apart from not using PCs?

Thanks,
R.

Do not use Internet cafes. Get a cellular broadband card, 3G or 4G.
