Default why do companies bother with 'doubleclick'? i

its a pain in the neck ,my firewall does not allow any doubleclick
connections so if a company uses doubleclick they dont get in to my
system. and java switched on wont allow them in.
so is doublelclick history ? most guys delete cookies on closing the
browser so they must surely be a waste of space. doubleclick must be
the biggest waste of resources ever.
i very rarely manager to get connected to a website that uses
doublleclick..
