Belkin N1 wireless router disconfigured

Hi.

All of a sudden the two left-hand icons of the 6 on my router went dark. I
reconfigured my laptop to a non-secure channel and icon number 2 came back
on. How can I get icon 1 back and/or reconfigure the router?
