Default BT Voyager 2100

I have recently purchased a BT Voyager 2100 Router and have set up my
Philips freeline LS1000 PC, which has a wirless LAN card anyway. So
far so good. I've set up all the security apsects, but I did/am having
a slight problem when I hide the SSID that when I disconnect my PC it
doesn't always recognise my network and I can't get back on and I have
to reset the router. Is it safe to leave the Voyager powered on all
the time, it won't damage it in anyway?
