D-link 624 Version C problem with wireless portion

This morning I cannot get the wireless portion to my laptop to work with the above router. It always worked before without trouble. Both machines use windows XP and they are within 3 feet from each other.

Going into Control Panel and choosing the dlink wireless network and then at the bottom "connect" works for awhile but then still did not connect. No error message, just did not connect.

The wired portion from the Comcast able modem to the desktop with the D-link 624 works fine.

What else can I try?
