Default D-link dsl router as a wireless bridge

Hi,

Can D-link 2640B DSL modem-router act as a wireless bridge (if it is
called so) ?
I want to use it as a wireless bridge that will give me wireless
access to an other access point (which is also my main ADSL modem-
router but from a different manufacturer).

I didn't find any option for this in its web interface.

- Can this model of d-link do it (e.g from the command prompt) ?
- Can this be done by flashing a different firmware to the device ?
- Any other way to wirelessly connect the two devices (access points-
modems-routers) ?

Thanks in advance

Default Re: D-link dsl router as a wireless bridge

What you're looking for is usually refered to as "client mode". This mode
reverses how the radio works. Instead of acting as an access point, letting
PCs connect to it, when in client mode a router becomes a wireless client of
another wifi router. Not all routers support this mode. Some don't support
it using their factory versions of firmware, but can if you load openWRT,
dd-wrt or others.

It does not appear that router supports it.
