Default DWL-2100ap Firmware to increase power

I have located firmware for the DWL-2100ap which allows a power
increase.
http://www.mervin.net.au/wireless/te...l2100hacks.php

This version is apparently for EU versions as i keep getting a write
Fail error. Does any one know if there is a firmware mod or hardware
mod to increase output power for the US model?
