DWL-G710 use as other than a repeater?

Didn't see anything when searching but is there any way to use a DWL-G710 as
anything other than a repeater? Like as a client or access point? A friend
gave me one and I've no need for it as a repeater, at which it seems to suck
at being anyway.

Or do I just fob it off to someone else via eBay?

DWL-G710 is just a repeater that is all.
