Finally! some actual DSL to network

After almost three months of promises (and paying for the non-existent
service), AT&T-cum-Earthlink finally brought DSL to my demarc.

Soon, it'll be time to network the house and barn, and you all have been
quite helpful there.

Is there a quick and dirty tool that will allow me to measure the actual
DSL link speed, to find out if I've actually gotten the bandwidth I'm
paying for?

7004-7254_7-0.html .. and be consider to understand kilobits/sec
kilobyte/sec , between kbps and kB/s

You want to use the tool that's closest to your ISP. I have no clue
where you're located.

Speakeasy is fairly close to Earthlink at least on the left coast of
the USA.
