Default Help on why wireless AP doesn't appear in 'Wireless Network Connection' box

Hi,

bit of a strange one, apologies:

I have a USR 22mbps Access Point and 2 wireless laptops:
- Laptop 1 sees the AP (among 4 of my neighbours), can connect ok, and
browse the internet just fine.
- Laptop 2 sees just 3 of the neighbours' APs... not my one. And (with
my neighbours' unsecured networks) it can connect fine to the internet.

Strange thing is that the Laptops are physically beside one another and
beside the AP, so there can't be any range issue.

I've tried 'repair connection', got an error about DNS not able to be
cleared, successfully flushed DNS using CMD -> ipconfig /flushdns

The DNS service is set to Automatic in the Control Panel ->
Administrative Tools

I'm at a complete loss as to why one PC can see the AP broadcasting and
connect ok, and the other can't see it.

Can anyone offer any tips or advice?

Thx, Narbo

Possibly a "g" only access point and a "b" only computer, or vice versa.
