Default high cpu usage - dlink dwl-g510

i am having strange problem with my dlink dwl-g510

everytime i use wifi my cpu usage jumps to 100% an the pc is more less
unusable. when i disable the card the load will get to normal (2-10 %)
i noticed one thing - when i remove the antenna everything is normal
(except the wifi signal is obviously lower). i installed the card in another
pc and it behaved the same way. i called dlink several times - they keep
saying that the problem in on my side (ie win problem, low memory[i have 512
mb] etc), and referring me to higher levels (currently waiting for L3 to get
back)

tHanks for all ideas
