how to set up wireless router

Hello,
For purposes of teleworking I'd like to set up a wireless router
connection for
my laptop which has VPN to the office.

Currently, a family member has a DSL modem (Bellsouth svc) connected
directly to his PC and his PC doesn't have a wireless card.

If I set up a wireless network, could he still use the hardwired
connection?

What is the best option for 2 home computers, one with wireless card
and the
other without it to use DSL?

Yes, connected to the wireless router.

Wireless router plus wireless adapter for your computer.
Buffalo is a good brand.
