Internet Drops Out

I have roadrunner cable isp and have set-up a network using Netgear
modelwgr614 v5. My problem is when I'm connected to the internet it will stop
working for no apparent reason. There is no particular pattern for when it
stops and then I will go to network places click on residetial connections
click invoke enter the username and password click on Lan IP set-up, apply
and then I can access the internet again. Why do I keep losing the internet?
